Author Guidelines

GENERAL TERMS

All submitted manuscripts must not be previously published and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Papers may come from any country but must be written in English or Indonesia. The manuscript may be submitted as a research article and a review article.  There are no submission and processing charges for this journal.

All manuscripts are subjected to peer review. Upon acceptance, authors are allowed to hold the copyright without any restriction. It is the authors' responsibility to obtain permission to reproduce illustrations, tables, etc. from other publication.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT

Authors are required to submit manuscripts electronically by using online journal system https://pkimuin-suka.ac.id/journal/index.php/JTC-RE.

 

REQUIREMENTS OF EACH MANUSCRIPT TYPE

  • Research Article: Research Article should consist of no more than 3,500 words, not including the words in abstract, references, table, figure, and figure legend and page not more than 20 pages. The manuscript should have no more than six figures and/or tables in total and no more than 40 references. Additional figures and tables could be written in Supplementary data.
  • Review Article: Review Article should consist of no more than 10,000 words, not including the words in abstract, references, table, figure, and figure legend. The manuscript should have no more than ten figures and/or tables in total and no more than 200 references.

 

MANUSCRIPT

The manuscript must be written in clear and concise Indonesian and English and should comprise of: (a) Title Page; (b) Abstract; (c) Keywords; (d) Introduction; (e) Materials and/or Methods; (f) Results and Discussion; (g) Conclusion (h) Acknowledgement, if any; (i) References. The manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman 12 pts with double space. 

a.  Title Page

Title must be concise and informative. Authors' name and institution should be written accordingly.

b.  Abstract and Keywords

The abstract provides a clear and concise summary of the article. The abstract should include a background for the work, a brief description of the methods, a summary of the results, and a conclusion. They are indicative only and will not be used for citation purposes. The abstract should be no more than 300 words (for Review Article) or 250 words (for Research Article). The abstract should be written in single space, 1 column. Keywords should be provided no more than 5 words and separated by commas (,).

c.  Introduction
The introduction should be written in double space with 1 column format. The introduction should state the purpose of the study.

d.  Material and/or Methods

The introduction should be written in double space with 1 column format. Materials and Methods should be described in detail sufficient to enable the work to be repeated, and suppliers of materials and equipment given, if necessary.

e.  Results and discussion
The result should be written in double space with 1 column format. Results should be presented in logical sequence, with tables and figures as appropriate. The discussion should emphasize the implication of the findings, limitations, and relevance to other studies. It should not be a recapitulation of the results.

f.  Conclusion
Conclusion should state the significance of the study and its potential impact in the field. Conclusion has to be supported by results.

g.  Acknowledgment
The acknowledgment should be filled with other contributors those are not qualified in the author's list. Research grant that supported the study should be listed in this section as well.

h.  References
The American Psycological Association (APA) 6th edition is used. References in the text should be quoted in the following for single, two or more than two authors respectively: (Harvey, 2000), (Miller & Miller, 2010), (Thiagarajan dkk., 1974). The references should be listed alphabetically at the end of the paper. The layout should be as follows.

A detailed legend should be provided for each table and figure.

UNIT OF MEASUREMENT

  • Authors can express all measurements in Conventional or International System (SI) units.
  • Drug names must use generic names. When proprietary brands are used in research, include the brand name, the name and location (city & country) of the manufacturer in parentheses after the first mention of the generic name.
